Cosy and contemporary, Heliconia feels just like home away from home. With an array of local amenities and attractions are easily within reach, taking in the best sights of the island is a breeze. But you’ll want to spend as much time as possible lounging in to soak up the villa’s light, airy vibes and bask in the warm hospitality of the staff.
Six guests are comfortably accommodated in three bedrooms. While all rooms are plush and tastefully furnished, the master bedroom stands out with amenities like a flat screen TV, vanity and a balcony equipped with sun beds. One of the guest bedrooms is fitted out with a king bed, while the other features twin singles. The attached en suite is outfitted with a vanity, toilet and shower recess or bathtub.

A wooden deck extends out from the living area towards to a pool framed by tropical foliage. Outfitted with a dining set and cooled by ceiling fans, the outdoor compound is kitted out for a comfortable al fresco dining experience, and is a favourite spot for breakfasting.
The wonderfully appointed common area of Heliconia boasts of new tiled flooring, elegant wood furnishings and full length glass doors and windows that let the sunlight pour in. The interiors are kept cool with air conditioners or ceiling fans, and are lit up by beautiful hanging lanterns during the evenings.
Armchairs, a daybed and sofa wrap around a coffee table and flat screen smart TV with DVD player in the indoor lounge. A selection of international channels and the TV's internet connectivity throws out plenty of options for movie night entertainment. Beyond the lounge is a dining area and open kitchen. The former features a circular dining set, while the latter features a breakfast bar and a full range of cooking appliances.
Guests at Heliconia enjoy complimentary airport transfers, daily housekeeping, assistance with guest needs and booking of tours and travel activities.
A baby cot is available at request, and services available at additional cost include: in-villa dining, private chef services, in-villa massage, extra beds, babysitting and car rental with driver.
Hop into a car for an eight-minute drive to Mae Nam Beach. With its easygoing vibes and calm waters, the beach is a great bet for families. For a dose of the local shopping and street food scene, take a 15 minutes’ walk from the beach to Mae Nam walking street. It’s open every Thursday evening, and comes alive when myriad street vendors set up stalls selling souvenirs, snacks and cocktails.
Head to The Yogarden Samui (18 minutes’ drive) or Absolute Sanctuary (33 minutes’ drive) for group yoga classes. We like the Belmond Napasai for its top of the line spa treatments - although an in-villa experience at Heliconia is just as incredible. Sup out at Fisherman’s Village, a bustling hub filled with high-end restaurants and boutiques. It’s about 18 minutes’ drive from Heliconia. Fill out the rest of your free time with cultural sightseeing (the iconic Big Buddha is 28 minutes’ drive away), kitesurfing (the nearest kitesurfing centre is at Mae Nam Town) or golfing at Santiburi Golf Course (12 minutes’ drive).

9.8/10We spent four nights at the Heliconia Villa because we were attending a wedding and I must say that it is one of the most magic place I have ever been. The whole resort is a oasis of luxurious quietude. We could choose to lay near the big (25 meters!) pool overlooking the sea that is shared with the other villas (but there are only 5 villas) or stay at our private pool at the Heliconia. The very friendly staff takes care of all your wishes. Special mention for breakfast and coffee that they are cooking for you while you still sleep! You can order a Thai chef who’ll cook at your villa or walk/drive to one of the many restaurants around. I’ll definitely come back!
